DR AKAM VET
This policy explains what information the DR AKAM VET mobile app (the "App") collects, why, and how it's used. The App connects pet owners with their veterinary clinic for appointments, pet health records, and the clinic's online shop.
Account information — name, phone number, and (optionally) email address when you register or sign in. Your password is stored encrypted; we cannot read it.
One-time verification codes (OTP) — sent to your phone via WhatsApp, Telegram, or SMS to verify your identity during registration. Codes expire shortly after they're sent and are not retained afterward.
Pet and health information — pet profiles (name, species, breed, date of birth, photos), and records your clinic adds on your pet's behalf: vaccinations, weight history, diagnoses, prescriptions, lab results, and consultation notes.
Appointments and orders — appointment requests and history, shop orders, cart contents, and delivery addresses you choose to save.
Photos you upload — profile photos and pet photos you choose to add to the App.
Device and notification data — a device token used to deliver push notifications (e.g., appointment confirmations), and your notification preferences.
We do not collect payment card details in the App — orders are settled directly with the clinic (pay at clinic / cash or card on pickup).
Your pet's medical and account information is visible to the staff of the veterinary clinic you're registered with. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers — the App does not run ads or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.
Push notifications are delivered via Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service, which receives only a device token — not your personal or medical information — to route the notification to your device.
Your account and pet records are kept for as long as your account is active with the clinic. You can ask your clinic to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Contact below).
The App is intended for pet owners who are adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted passwords, authenticated API access, and access-controlled clinic staff accounts — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
